Dutch packaging company CurTec expands production to Westminster

Over the past 12 months, Dutch packaging company CurTec has built a new production facility in Westminster, SC. From May, plastic bulk packaging for the pharmaceutical, specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry will be produced there for the North American market. With this, CurTec wants to strengthen its market coverage, increase the level of service to customers and reduce its corporate carbon footprint. The grand opening will take place on May 10th.
The new site is part of the Oconee Industrial & Technology Park, consists of 24 acres and is strategically located towards customers, suppliers, talent and transportation. It will be CurTec’s first production location outside The Netherlands and will serve as the main production facility for North America. The new 33,000 sq ft facility marks the next phase of international growth and can easily accommodate future expansion.
Construction took roughly 7 months and the machines and support equipment were delivered and installed in the first months of 2023. At the moment audits are being conducted to certify the quality management system. These will be completed in May and CurTec USA will be a GMP certified packaging company.
According to its sustainability charter, CurTec aims to become a top employer in its sector, which of course also applies to the US operations. Recruitment has now ended as the production team is complete. However, it is our ambition to grow and to develop the production capacity and team accordingly.
