CurTec believes it is important to give back to society. As part of its CSR policy, it therefore makes an annual amount available for social sponsorship. Employees may nominate charities and a special committee determines which projects may receive sponsorship money.
In the municipality of Gilze en Rijen, more than a hundred families depend on food aid. For this group, the aid is essential. These families can go to the Food Bank every week. The organization and distribution of the food packages is carried out entirely by volunteers.
In addition to the Food Bank in Gilze-Rijen, the following charities have been selected in 2025:
The Food Garden is a valuable meeting place for volunteers, people with a distance to the labor market and minor refugees who live in Oosterhout. The garden contributes to integration, promotes mutual understanding and offers a meaningful way to spend the day. The proceeds from the Food Garden will go entirely to the Food Bank, so that the support goes directly to the people who really need it due to financial problems.
The Food Garden Oosterhout Foundation has no structural income, but it does have costs. That is why Paola van Vugt found social sponsorship a suitable and valuable way to contribute to the continuation of this beautiful initiative.
The Sunflower plays an important role in the lives of people who are faced with physical limitations due to illness, disability or advanced age, which threatens social isolation. The approximately 80 volunteers of the Rijen-Molenschot department visit people at home and organize various activities, such as relaxation afternoons, wheelchair walks, mobility scooter and bus tours, shopping mornings, Christmas celebrations and more.
Cees Snoeren is familiar with the association through a walking friend and thinks it is great that these volunteers are committed to helping people in need in a selfless manner. That is why he nominated The Sunflower.
The Abel Day Care Foundation is a small-scale day care for seniors who live at home and who, physically and/or mentally, require intensive attention and help. Their aim is to provide a visitor-oriented and involved day care where they are central as a person.
