CurTec complies with new PPWR requirements

Starting August 12, 2026, the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) will apply. One of the first relevant provisions concerns Article 5: requirements for substances in packaging.
We are pleased to inform you that CurTec’s entire product portfolio complies with the applicable requirements of Article 5 of the PPWR.
To confirm this, we contacted our raw material and material suppliers and collected and reviewed the necessary declarations.
Based on this information, we can confirm that the sum of the concentrations of heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, and hexavalent chromium) in our packaging complies with the applicable limit of 100 mg/kg. This limit was already in place and has now also been incorporated into the PPWR.
In addition, the supplier declarations we received confirm that no PFAS are intentionally added to our food-contact packaging. This applies both to the manufacture of the packaging materials and to the raw materials used. Based on these declarations and the available technical information, we can confirm that our food-contact packaging complies with the PFAS requirements of Article 5 of the PPWR.
