New warehouse and production capacity will broaden local manufacturing and strengthen supply for North American life sciences and fine chemicals customers

PRESS RELEASE

WESTMINSTER, S.C., October 7, 2026 – CurTec is expanding its manufacturing operations in Westminster, South Carolina, with a new warehouse and additional production capacity. The expansion will significantly increase on-site storage and broaden the range of CurTec packaging manufactured in the United States, supporting the company's ambition to serve North American customers through local production and supply.

The planned warehouse expansion will add approximately 27,300 square feet to the Westminster facility and provide more than 2,000 additional pallet positions. Groundbreaking is planned for October 2026, with completion expected in Q2 2027. The project also includes expanded employee facilities.

For customers, the investment means more than additional warehouse space. Greater local inventory and an expanding US manufacturing portfolio will allow CurTec to support growing demand while strengthening supply continuity and bringing production closer to customers across North America.

"When we opened our Westminster facility in 2023, our objective was not simply to add manufacturing capacity. We wanted to get closer to our North American customers and create a platform that could grow with them," says Bart van Berkel, CEO of CurTec. "This expansion is the next step. By increasing local production, capacity and inventory, we can further strengthen supply reliability and support customers in the life sciences and fine chemicals industries from within the United States."

Expanding local production

Alongside the warehouse expansion, CurTec is investing in additional manufacturing capacity in Westminster.

A new blow molding production line will significantly increase the site's blow molding capacity and extend its production capabilities to smaller packaging sizes. CurTec furthermore plans to add local production of its 6- and 10-liter Click Pack pails before the end of 2026, followed by its range of smaller Wide Neck Drums in 2027.

"Expanding production and warehousing together enables us to build a stronger local supply operation," says Roy Kuipers, Operations Director at CurTec. "The additional equipment will increase our capacity and allow us to manufacture a broader part of our portfolio in Westminster. Combined with substantially more storage capacity, this gives us greater flexibility to respond to customer demand in North America."

The additional production lines will complement the packaging already manufactured in Westminster and progressively increase the range available from US production.

"Westminster was designed with future growth in mind, and we are now taking another important step in that development," says Martin Lamar, Site Director USA. "We are building both capacity and capability here in South Carolina. As our operations expand, we also expect our local team to grow with them."

Continuing to invest in Oconee County

CurTec opened its Westminster production facility in 2023 after selecting Oconee County for its first manufacturing location in the United States. Since then, the site has developed into an important production and supply hub for the North American market.

The latest expansion continues CurTec's long-term commitment to Westminster and Oconee County. CurTec values the strong relationship it has developed with Oconee County and the Oconee Economic Alliance since establishing its US operations in the region.

It is another ‘Top Shelf for Business’ day in Oconee County with CurTec’s decision to invest  and create additional jobs at their Westminster manufacturing facility.” says Jamie Gilbert, President and CEO of the Oconee Economic Alliance. “Just three years after opening the facility, the project reflects CurTec’s confidence in our excellent workforce and strong business climate. CurTec is an outstanding company and we greatly value our partnership with them. Oconee County is pleased to support this expansion and looks forward to seeing the company continue to grow in our community.”
